London Fashion Week – The Hair

lfw

As London fashion week comes to a close, we look at our favourite hair looks from all of the shows and have a look at what will be big hair wise for AW17.
We saw natural waves both on and off the catwalk this year, and it seems this soft well loved style isn’t going anywhere in 2017 so keep hold of your wave wand!  We also noticed that the centre part one of the  most notable styles for the last few seasons was back in full force this season, especially when worked with the super sleek pony tails we saw last week in New York.

Wet look finger waves were the order of the day at Judy Wu, a continuation of the baby hair trend, just pushed a little further.

We also particularly liked the hair at Antonio Berardi, textured, tousled waves with braids woven in, and knots worked through the texture of the waves.

Overall the hair looks that we think we will be wearing in AW 17 will be the knotted braids and the sleek pony tails.

As New York Fashion Week comes to a close, we analysed all the shows to find the hair styles that will be working their way into our everyday style for Autumn Winter 17.

The most notable style was the sleek pony tail, seen at Oscar de la Renta and Caroline Herrera, perfectly smooth and perfectly placed to work with the most stylish of outfits.

At Victoria Beckham we saw natural hair worn loose, Alexander Wang went full on 90’s with bowl cuts, Tory Burch went with perfection on the centre part and Diane Von Furstenberg models had wet look slicked back hair.

The most interesting hair looks came from Proezna Schouler where each models hair was styled to their individuality, and hair type.  Perhaps a sign that we should just embrace our hair and do what we want.
